Mr. Ajello’s work embodies whimsy, fantasy, and surreal symbols. He feels equally satisfied by working in a range of materials, bronze, wood or ceramics. He chooses to create both functional and non-functional sculptures. As a Vietnam Veteran, Mr. Ajello was strongly affected by that war and one of his directions is a series related to the topic of war and its disturbing consequences on our planet. There is also a light side , with humor in his work in such pieces as” Road Runner” or the “Petaluma Pecker Series” . His work is shown in a number of galleries in Northern California and Oregon.
